Video reveals argument between John Harbaugh and Mike Vrabel before Week 11: 'It's disrespectful'

Sunday’s Tennessee Titans-Baltimore Ravens game was heated before the contest even started. Before the coin flip, coaches John Harbaugh and Mike Vrabel got into it at midfield after the Titans came out and stood on the Ravens’ logo.

While the confrontation seemed heated, it was unclear what words were exchanged between Harbaugh and Vrabel. That’s no longer the case. NFL Network captured video of the encounter, which features Harbaugh telling Vrabel what the Titans did was “disrespectful.”

Vrabel mostly shrugged off that complaint, telling Harbaugh to “go coach.” It wasn’t a lengthy exchange, and it didn’t appear either coach was ready to throw punches, but both men were frustrated. Harbaugh may have been a little more fired up after he had a heated back-and-forth with Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler prior to meeting with Vrabel.

Titans get the last laugh with win over Ravens

The Titans backed up their smack talk during the contest. While the team trailed for a majority of the game, the Titans surged back, forcing overtime. Derrick Henry finished off the Ravens, scoring a walk-off touchdown on Tennessee’s first drive of overtime to win the contest 30-24.

The game had some massive playoff implications. With the win, the Titans sit in the fifth seed in the AFC. They are tied with the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. Both teams have 7-3 records, but the Colts hold an edge over Tennessee after beating the Titans in Week 10.

With the loss, the Ravens fell to 8th in the AFC at 6-4. If the season ended today, Baltimore would not make the playoffs. The Las Vegas Raiders would sneak into the seventh and final playoff spot in the AFC. While Baltimore started the season strong, the team has lost three of its past four games.

Turning things around will not be easy. The Ravens are set to take on the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12 as long as Baltimore doesn’t experience any more positive COVID-19 tests.
