Video emerges of Conor McGregor in fan altercation before arrest

A video has surfaced that shows UFC star Conor McGregor stomping on a fan’s phone during an altercation outside a Miami nightclub.

McGregor was arrested for that incident on Monday evening, after the fan accused him of taking and smashing his phone when he went in for a handshake.

Video shows McGregor stomping

TMZ posted a video on Thursday that appears to show McGregor, his back to the camera, stomping on an item on the ground.

He then goes to pick it up while several suited security guys hold back another person.

That person, the alleged victim, then yells “Let me get my phone, man!”

It started with a fake handshake

Ahmed Abdirzk, the alleged victim, told TMZ on Wednesday that the whole kerfuffle started when he saw McGregor while waiting for his car at the nightclub valet station.

Abdirzk pulled out his phone to snap a picture, which is when McGregor approached him.

Abdirzk thought McGregor was coming in for a handshake, but instead McGregor allegedly slapped the phone out of Abdirzk’s hand and stomped on it several times.

Abdirzk was swarmed by McGregor’s security while McGregor took the phone, got into his car, and left the scene.

Abdirzk valued the smashed and missing phone at $1000, but told TMZ that what’s most important to him are pictures of his son that are saved on the phone, but not yet uploaded to the cloud.

Abdirzk is worried now that he may never get them back.

McGregor was arrested Monday night and charged with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief in connection to the incident.

He was released on US $12,500 bond.
