Verona have come back from a goal down to defeat Parma 2-1 in Serie A and add to their visitors' deepening crisis.

Parma took an eighth-minute lead when Yann Karamoh was brought down by goalkeeper Marco Silvestri and Juraj Kucka converted from the penalty spot.

Verona were quickly level as Alberto Grassi put through his own goal from Federico Dimarco's shot.

The hosts grabbed all the points courtesy of a second-half winner from Antonin Barak's majestic header.

The landmark 1000th goal for Verona in Serie A strengthened their grip on ninth place and has them seven points shy of a European spot.

Parma suffered their 13th defeat of the campaign to languish second bottom, four points from safety.

They have not won in 13 league games and have lost nine of their past 10.
