Baltimore-based athletic wear brand Under Armour have the answer for fitness enthusiasts who struggle with dry and itchy skin. On Tuesday, the company launched a new fabric that promises to rehabilitate those problems and more: the UA Meridian + Moisture Infuse.
“Meridian + Moisture Infuse delivers on our brand’s promise to provide something ‘you never knew you needed but can’t imagine living without.’ Our product development team observed that skin gets very dehydrated during training. We saw this as a pain point for women and innovated a new cutting edge fabric that helps her skin recover after a tough workout,” Morgan Goerke, VP/GM Women’s Training & Girls said about the new launch.
Available in in tops and bottoms, the technology behind the UA Meridian + Moisture Infuse fabric is revolutionary. Tiny, moisturizing microspheres are embedded into the material. When worn, they activate on contact and discharge extracts onto the skin through friction to help replenish lost moisture following an intense training session. Because the moisturizing properties are embedded directly into the fabric, the result is zero stickiness or sliminess on your actual body.
The longterm results are life-changing for your skin. Per Under Armour, the Meridian + Moisture Infuse fabric will increase hydration by 26% after wearing for three consecutive seven hour days.
