UFC brawler's bizarre threat for Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

UFC fighter Nate Diaz issued a bizarre threat to former wrestler and Hollywood star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson after his loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244.

Diaz and Masvidal’s bout was controversially cut short by the fight doctor, who stopped the bout as two cuts above Diaz’s right eye caused concern.

The stoppage was wildly unpopular with the crowd at Madison Square Garden, who loudly booed the decision after it was announced.

The American fighter was clearly nursing some sore feelings in the press conference after the fight, which was awarded to Masvidal after three dominant rounds.

Johnson entered the ring to hand Masvidal the “BMF” belt - a move which clearly rankled Diaz.

“F*** The Rock too man, that motherf***** over here playing me,” Diaz said after the fight.

“See him over there smiling with Masvidal. Should have had Mike Tyson handing out a belt if anybody.

“I don’t give a f*** about no belt anyway. But he can get it too.”

Diaz was pressed further by reporters after the bizarre response.

Despite admitting he was being asked about this at a ‘bad time’, the UFC star nonetheless doubled down on his hatred of The Rock.

“You guys caught me at a bad time. The Rock’s cool, I like ‘Ballers’, but he picked the wrong side so he can get his ass whooped too,” Diaz said.

“With all due respect, he can get it too.”

UFC fans fume as Diaz v Masvidal stopped early

A punishing start from Masvidal left him with a clear advantage, having knocked Diaz to the ground twice and opened up two cuts above his right eye.

Those two cuts were ultimately enough for the fight to be halted.

Both fighters were visibly irritated about the stoppage.

The Madison Square Garden crowd booed at the doctor’s decision and Masvidal agreed, offering an immediate rematch to Diaz.

“I told Nate right now … ‘let’s run it right back,’” Masvidal said.

“We’re going to run it back, New York. So don’t worry about it. It’s going to happen again.”

Diaz was game for that.

“I’m coming back for you mother******,” Diaz said.

“I didn’t think they were going to stop it.

“I was just about to start it.”
