Tusker forward returns from two-week injury layoff

Odongo, who joined Tusker last January, might be ready for selection for next week's game

Tusker FC new signing Mathew Odongo has resumed training after sitting out for two weeks with an injury.

The former Kariobangi Sharks forward missed Tusker’s last two league games with a thigh muscle strain.

“Mathew Odongo has fully resumed training after incurring a thigh muscle injury during training two weeks ago,” Tusker said in a statement on their Facebook page.

Odongo last featured for the Brewers in a 1-0 lose to Ugandan champions, KCCA in an international friendly match in January, but missed the former champions 1-0 lose to Chemelil Sugar and a 0-0 draw with Posta Rangers last weekend.

Odongo, who joined Tusker in the last transfer window, might be available for selection for Sam Timbe as the Ugandan tactician continue to chase a maiden win in the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season when they take on Nzoia Sugar next week.
