Turtle Survives Tiger Shark Attack in Western Australia

A photographer recently captured a thrilling fight between a sea turtle and a tiger shark off the coast of Ningaloo, with the turtle showing some deft maneuvers to escape the shark’s jaws.

In the heart-stopping video, the turtle can be seen flipping over several times to make sure the shark’s jaws can only grab its protective shell.

It looks like it’s all over for the turtle when the shark eventually captures it between its teeth, but the footage shows the reptile flipping once more and freeing itself.

The scene was captured by Declan DeHaas, a photographer based in Western Australia.
