Tonali eligible to play against Forest in Carabao Cup

Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali will be available to play against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup second round.

The match at the City Ground takes place on 28 August which is the same day that his 10-month ban for breaching betting rules ends.

Tonali joined Newcastle from AC Milan in July 2023 for £55m and his ban came after he had played 12 games for the Magpies.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.
