Catalans Dragons' England fullback Sam Tomkins will remain with the Super League club in 2022 after activating a one-year extension.
The 32-year-old former Wigan favourite, who initially joined the Dragons on a three-year deal with an option of a fourth season ahead of the 2019 campaign, will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium at least until the end of 2022.
Former New Zealand Warrior Tomkins is currently leading Super League's Man of Steel leaderboard after an impressive first half to the season.
He has scored 18 tries in 51 games for the Catalans.
"Sam has completely embraced the culture of the club since his arrival," Dragons coach Steve McNamara said.
"He is in exceptional shape and is a true leader. It was a very easy decision to extend his contract and it is a strong sign for our club to retain the current England team captain."
Tomkins, who has expressed a wish to end his career in the south of France, said: "It was a very easy decision to make.
"It's a club that my family and I have grown to love since we arrived here two-and-a-half years ago.
"I think the club is on the right track and I want to be a part of it for as long as possible."
