Cheltenham Town have signed free-agent midfielder Tom Pett.
The 31-year-old former Port Vale player has agreed an initial short term deal until January to link up with former Vale boss Darrell Clarke at Town.
Pett, who played more than 150 games for Stevenage in two spells, has also spent time at Lincoln City before moving to Port Vale in 2021.
He is the first player to be signed by Clarke since he took over from Wade Elliott as manager in September.
The Robins are second-from-bottom of League One having won just twice all season and scored just six times in 15 league games.
"I've been in touch with the gaffer over the last couple of weeks and I'm really happy to get it over the line," Pett told the club website.
"I was really keen to work for a manager that I trust and he knows what I'm all about, so it was a win-win.
"You'll run through brick walls for him, you can see the lads doing that now. That's what I want to do for him and obviously for Cheltenham."
