Something must have felt off during warmups before Monday’s game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks. The Timberwolves decided to delay the start of the game due to a basket malfunction.

What does that even mean? In this case, it means the basket was uneven.

It’s unclear how the issue was discovered. For now, the Timberwolves are blaming the Bucks.

Did Milwaukee notice the issue after bricking a ton of shots in warmups, or did Giannis Antetokounmpo dunk a ball so hard it knocked the rim out of alignment? We may never have the answer.

To their credit, the Bucks are handling the delay well on Twitter.

After the new rim was put up, both teams received seven minutes to continue warming up. Once that was over, they went through the normal pregame activities and the game began.
