Thelin named Premiership manager of month

Jimmy Thelin's flying start at Aberdeen has been recognised with the Swede being named Scottish Premiership manager of the month for August.

Thelin steered the Dons to four league wins out of four, with eight goals scored and just two conceded, to keep pace with Celtic at the top of the table.

The Pittodrie boss said: "Football is a collective sport and this award is for everyone that belongs to Aberdeen - the staff, the players and of course the supporters who back the team both home and away in such strong numbers."
