Edmund shocks Dimitrov to reach semis
Kyle Edmund has defeated world No.3 Grigor Dimitrov for the biggest win of his career to reach the Australian Open semi-finals.
Edmund won 6-4 3-6 6-3 6-4 in two hours and 52 minutes on Rod Laver Arena.
With Tim Henman sitting in the crowd, the 23-year-old became the sixth British male to reach the semi-finals of a grand slam.
"It's an amazing feeling, I'm so happy," he said.
Edmund, who had played two five-set matches -- including one in last week's 40-degree heat -- to reach the quarters, will face top seed Rafael Nadal or No.6 Marin Cilic in Thursday's semi-final.
The world No.49 is filling the considerable gap left by British No.1 Andy Murray, who is watching from home and impressed with Edmund's success.
Wow! @kyle8edmund
