Federer and ex-champs lead Saturday at Aus Open

Swiss maestro Roger Federer continues his march towards the second week of the Australian Open as he faces French veteran Richard Gasquet on Saturday night.

World No.2 Federer will be aiming to continue his dominance over Gasquet that has seen him lose just twice to the 31-year-old over their long history.

First up on Rod Laver Arena on Saturday night, two former Australian Open champions Maria Sharapova and Angelique Kerber go head-to-head in their quest for another title.

Aussie 18th seed Ash Barty takes to the court late afternoon to battle Japan’s Naomi Osaka as the local aims to advance to the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

In the evening, six-time champion Novak Djokovic continues his journey on the comeback trail as he faces 21st seed Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
