Carreno Busta's contender for shot of the year

It's only January, but this will surely be a contender for the best shot of 2018.

Spanish 10th seed Pablo Carreno Busta unleashed the remarkable shot during a long and expansive rally against Frenchman Gilles Simon.

Running back to his baseline, Carreno Busta's point looked over as his opponent took up a dominant position at the net.

However the Spaniard not only managed to get the ball back into court, but also perfectly lobbed his opponent, with a shot through his legs!

You have to see it to believe it.

Carreno Busta is now the first man through to the third round of the Australian Open following the mid-match retirement of opponent Gilles Simon.

The Spaniard was leading their round-two encounter 6-2 3-0 on Wednesday when the Frenchman pulled the pin.

Carreno Busta - a semi-finalist at last year's US Open - beat Australian wildcard Jason Kubler in the opening round at Melbourne Park on Monday.
