Bouchard's failed attempt at water sports

By the looks of this, tennis star Eugenie Bouchard won't be switching to water sports anytime soon.

The Canadian posted the above video on Instagram recently, showing her failed attempt at wakeboarding.

Bouchard looks very wobbly as she travels along for a few seconds, before crashing and burning with a big stack.

"The fall at the end is SO dramatic," she captioned the video.

The 23-year-old is enjoying a break in Florida, posting a number of happy snaps from her trip.

It's not the first time we've seen Bouchard try her hand at other sports.

In July she showed off some handy golf skills with American pro Michelle Wie.

Bouchard has been in fine form on social media lately, setting fans' hearts racing with some pics of her Halloween outfits.

The young star has had a pretty torrid time on court this year, struggling to find any sort of form while winning 13 games and losing 21.

She managed to make the third round of the Australian Open way back in January, but it's been all downhill from there.

She lost second round at the French before being bundled out of Wimbledon and the US Open in the first round.

And it wasn't much better in 2016, a stark contrast to her incredible breakout year in 2014 when she made the final of Wimbledon and the semis at the Australian and French.

Bouchard rocketed up the rankings after bursting onto the tour, and was as high as No.5 in the world in 2014.

However she's since plummeted to No.81 in the rankings, and has only managed one WTA title in her fairly short career.

Bouchard is in serious danger of failing to live up to her massive potential, with a number of pundits labelling her 'the next Anna Kournikova', a fellow former young gun who ended up better known for her modelling work than her tennis career.
