Federer melts fans' hearts with beautiful Mirka tribute

Roger Federer took to social media to update fans on his appearance at the Met Gala, and one tweet in particular stole a number of hearts.

The tennis legend rocked a ridiculously cool cobra tuxedo at the annual charity event, dazzling with wife Mirka for the plethora of cameras.

MASSIVE CALL: Federer confirms French Open participation

A day after the event, Federer posted a number of photos on Twitter.

It started off with excitement that he was actually going to the prestigious gala:

Then a rather humorous pic while he was getting ready:

He then revelled in running into Aussie actor Hugh Jackman, showing off his X-Men knowledge:

He then ran into fellow sporting superstar Tom Brady, suggesting they team up for some doubles:

But he then came to his senses, realising he already had the perfect partner:

The beautiful (if not a little nauseating) tweet had fans absolutely fawning.

It's not the first time the Swiss Maestro has heaped such praise on his wife.

He made an emotional tribute to Mirka after claiming his 18th grand slam title with victory at the Australian Open.

"She was there when I had no titles and she's still here 89 titles later," Federer said in January.

"She had a big part to play in it – she knows it, I know it, everybody knows it.

"I'm just happy she's my wife and she's my No.1 supporter."

They also shared a beautiful moment together after Federer's victory over Rafa Nadal in the Australian Open final.

Roger and Mirka have been married since 2009. They have four children together - identical twin girls, Myla and Charlene, and twin boys Leo and Lenny.
