Kyrgios shows softer side with cute message to Tomljanovic

Could love be the secret to Nick Kyrgios's recent success?

The Aussie certainly hasn't been afraid to show his affection for girlfriend Ajla Tomljanovic of late.

TWICE AS NICE: Red-hot Kyrgios gets better of Djokovic again

After beating World No.2 Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells on Thursday, the second time he's done so in two weeks, he penned a cute little tribute to his 'boo' on a court-side camera.

"Love you boo," he wrote on the camera lens right next to a big love heart.

Kyrgios has been dating compatriot Tomljanovic for over a year and recently credited his girlfriend as a major factor for his red-hot form.

"Seeing her back on the court and her having her first win in her first match back after a year kinda took the pressure off me a little bit," Kyrgios said earlier this week.

"I'm just enjoying myself and playing freely and seeing her happy is the key for me.

"It's been pretty important for me to see her back out there."

Kyrgios defeated three-time defending champion Djokovic 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to power into the last eight of the Masters 1000 event for the first time.

Kyrgios struck 14 aces, 25 winners and didn't face a single break point in repeating his victory over the 12-times grand slam champion in Mexico earlier this month.

"It feels good. I knew what I had to do today. It was always going to be tough; he is a great champion," said the Australian No.1.

Eyeing his third semi-final showing in as many tournaments, Kyrgios is yet to drop serve in three matches this week.
