'No.2 in the household': Fitzy's hilarious Murray sledge

Aussie tennis great John Fitzgerald took a cheeky dig at Andy Murray after the world No.1's first-up Australian Open victory.

Murray wasn't at the top of his game against Ukraine's Illya Marchenko, but still advanced to the second round in straight sets on Monday.

Interviewing Murray after the match, Fitzy started off by asking Murray whether or not we should call him 'Sir' now that the Brit has been knighted.

Murray assured fans he just wanted to be called Andy, but went into some detail about what the knighthood meant for his tennis.

"She's told me no more swearing during my matches," Murray said in reference to wife Kim.

Fitzy's reply was gold: "Well we know you're no.1 now mate but pretty clear you're no.2 in the household."

The five-time Australian Open runner-up will face Russian qualifier Andrey Rublev in the second round.
