"I can't get my n*** out on court": Murray's hilarious deadpan explanation
Andy Murray is frequently accused of not being a guy with a sense of humour, but the British World no. 2's deadpan comedy does appear when needed.
Following his Davis Cup win against Guido Pella, reporters asked him why he left the court for medical treatment during the tie and his blunt answer left the crowd in hysterics.
"I had to go off the court because the strapping had to be done very high up on my right leg and I needed to take my clothes off," he told reporters.
"The reason I had to go off is because I can’t get my nuts out on court. I mean, I can’t do that."
Murray suffered a thigh injury which required strapping, so obviously he needed to take off his shorts. Probably best to head back to the locker room, which he did for eight minutes to receive treatment.
The injury didn't hamper Murray, who cruised to a 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 win, but it wasn't enough as Argentina progressed to the final.
