I seriously underestimated the power of a great body scrub until about a year and a half ago.
I was about to apply a fresh layer of self-tanner but needed to get off some old tanner that was being stubborn before putting on more. I remembered I had a jar of sugar scrub in the back of my bathroom cabinet and grabbed it without giving it much of aforethought. After being blown away by how good it smelled and how soft my skin was afterward, I now swear by Tree Hut’s Shea Sugar Scrub.
Full disclaimer: this scrub is very coarse. But it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on my skin, and it never leaves my skin feeling tight or dry. In my opinion, the sugar granules in this scrub are a perfect size, as opposed to some other scrubs on the market that have a much more refined sugar that doesn’t get the job done (at least not without a lot of effort).
Shop: Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla Bean Shea Sugar Scrub, $6.48 (Orig. $8.99)
Shop: Tree Hut Coco Colada Shea Sugar Scrub, $6.48 (Orig. $8.99)
Shop: Tree Hut Tropical Mango Shea Sugar Scrub, $8.99
I now use this scrub at least twice a week and always use it before I shave my legs. As a reminder, a physical exfoliant is a great way to help prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs as it sloughs off dead skin that can clog your pores.
Plus, this scrub is super affordable at under $10 at Ulta, CVS and on Amazon, which makes it one of my favorite drugstore finds of all time. Tree Hut also makes this scrub in a ton of yummy scents like Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Coco Colada and Tropical Mango — the list goes on.
Bottom line — grab this scrub in several scents and prepare to have incredibly soft skin all year round.
