Swans star with early mark of the year contender

Isaac Heeney’s soaring mark in the opening minutes of Sydney’s round one clash with the Western Bulldogs has already been labelled a ‘mark of the year’ contender.

The incredible grab was one of very few highlights for the Swans in the first half, after they were thoroughly outplayed by the Dogs.

Heeney took out the Mark of the Year contest on 2018.

Plenty of fans have already installed the Swans bolter as a hot favourite for the 2019 award after his incredible effort on Saturday night.

A sight for Thor eyes

With the Western Bulldogs debuting their much-maligned ‘Thor’ jumpers on Saturday night, it was only fitting for a bit of Hollywood star power to be in attendance.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the character in question, made his way to Marvel Stadium to watch his beloved Bulldogs do battle.

The Marvel movie star had more Hollywood royalty on hand, with actor Matt Damon in tow.
