'A special moment for me and the club' - Rangers boss Potter

Jo Potter heaped praise on her Rangers side after easing past Partick Thistle 4-1 to retain the SWPL Cup and pick up her first silverware as manager.

"It is always special, I think it'll take a moment for me to reflect but I am super proud of the girls," Potter told BBC Scotland.

"It is a great day for them to come up and they deserve nothing more than to lift that trophy.

"I think it was big for us to win this game and to have the performance as well. We knew we were going to have to get rid of the butterflies, get it out our system but I think the girls dealt with it really well. Some super goals and some super performances.

"They [the players] are so together. I know it is sometimes cliche to say they are a great group of girls but they genuinely are. They all actually really like each other, sometimes I wish they'd dig each other out a little bit but you can't fault them.

"It is always one step at a time. I want to enjoy this moment today, it is a special moment for me and a special moment for the club."
