When it comes to breakfast food, there’s nothing better than pancakes and waffles, but gathering all the ingredients to make this breakfast of champions can be an expensive task.
That’s part of the reason why Erica Barrett started Southern Culture Artisan Foods. It’s a food lifestyle brand that offers a range of high quality pancake and waffle mixes. From strawberry to red velvet cake there are a handful of delicious flavors to serve up for your morning meal.
The idea came to Barrett one morning after she spent $30 on gathering whole and natural ingredients to make her favorite strawberry pancakes. Realizing a need for better quality mixes, she put her entrepreneurial chops to the test and developed a culinary line that would eventually lead to an appearance on Shark Tank in 2014 and a thriving Southern cuisine restaurant in her hometown Mobile, Ala.
Described as “light” and “fluffy”, Southern Culture’s mixes contain all-natural ingredients and are vegan friendly. Plus, at $8 each, these are a welcomed addition to any kitchen. While the whole menu is enough to make your mouth water, some popular flavors include the Meyer Lemon Blueberry mix and Barrett’s personal fave, Banana Pudding.
1. Banana Pudding Pancake and Waffle Mix, $7.99
2. Birthday Cake Pancake and Waffle Mix, $7.99
4. Strawberry Pancake and Waffle Mix, $7.99
