Saints' poor AFL form driving away fans

Roger Vaughan

THE FANS ARE STAYING AWAY AS THE SAINTS STRUGGLE

* Four of St Kilda's home games in the first seven rounds have been at home

* They are averaging crowds of only 22,936, well down on last year's 34,601

* Their Good Friday game against North Melbourne had a crowd of 33,966 - last year the Kangaroos attracted 42,814 against the Western Bulldogs

* Good Friday is the Saints' biggest crowd so far this season. Their lowest has been 14,956 for the round-five draw at home against GWS

* The Saints are third-last after seven rounds with one win and a draw.
