Students honour Joost with beautiful war cry

Students from Joost van der Westhuizen's high school have honored the Springboks great with a special war cry.

Members of the F.H. Odendaal 1st XV belted out the emotional war cry following van der Westhuizen’s passing during the week.

The rugby champion passed away aged just 45 after a nearly six-year battle with motor neuron disease (MND).

Van der Westhuizen played 89 Tests for South Africa between 1993 and 2003 and is regarded as one of the greatest scrum halves to ever play the game.
