Is this the worst tackle of 2015?

New Zealand's Isaac Te Tamaki was sent off for a nasty spear tackle in the Cape Town leg of the Sevens World Series.

The horrific tip tackle resulted in a straight red card, which Te Tamaki accepted with no argument.

The All Blacks Sevens side were facing Argentina in the Cup quarter finals when the incident occurred midway through extra time.

Franco Sabato, the Argentinian player on the receiving end, was lucky to walk away uninjured after landing on his head and neck.

"The requirement from the tackler is that he brings the player down in a safe position, which was certainly not the case on that occasion," one commentar said.
