'What, I was naked on live tv?'

'What, I was naked on live tv?'

A professional rugby player was left embarrassed after he was caught naked by live Sky TV cameras before a big match.

The nude player accidentally appeared on live TV as he changed next to Otago's pre-match huddle just before they left the changing room to take on Northland in the ITM Cup.

The live footage lasted for around 10 seconds with the unidentified player left shocked when he subsequently discovered that he was filmed naked with his back to the camera during the broadcast.

Otago manager Grant Hubbard insisted that the incident was not a deliberate prank: ''He was getting changed. He didn't even think about it. It was just one of those moments.

"It was unfortunate and not a good look, but we are not too worried about it. Sky are probably just as embarrassed as the guy in the shot was.''

"We will be sending out a reminder to all teams to be aware of this," the NZ Rugby spokesperson confirmed.

Sky spokeswoman Kirsty Way said their staff will be advised to switch-off cameras if a similar situation unfolds. You think?
