Jenkins opens up on difficult Rio experience

Australian rugby sevens captain Ed Jenkins has opened up on what was a difficult Olympic experience, both on and off the field.

Jenkins' sevens team came a disappointing fifth in Rio, despite being one of the top ranked teams and expecting a podium finish.

To add to the on-field pain, Jenkins and the rest of his team were given the riot act by Kitty Chiller for a boozy night out in party central Copacabana.

Furthermore, Jenkins was one of the unlucky Aussie athletes caught up in an accreditation scandal - after attempting to gain access to the Boomers' semi-final.

The AOC eventually accepting full responsibility for the drama.
