I am that guy: Bolt celebrates in hilarious fashion

"Woke up this morning and felt like I wanted to be a nine-time Olympic gold medallist - and then I remember I am that guy."

An ecstatic Usain Bolt has been thrilling fans with social media clips of his celebrations in Rio after bagging the historic triple triple he had come to claim.

His cheeky I-had-a-dream video was shared with fans around the world on SnapChat as he settled into life as an Olympic legend.

The Jamaican won the 100, 200 and 4x100 metres titles by anchoring his country to relay victory in his final race in Rio on Friday.

Bolt's post-match festival includes eating his legendary snack - chicken nuggets - and recording his dance moves on SnapChat.

He also took a trip to have his teeth whitened before looking like a rock star at the Men's Football Final between Brazil and Germany at the Maracana Stadium on Day 15 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Saturday night (Sunday morning Australian time).

Brazilian football star Neymar struck the Lightning Bolt pose in honour of the sprinter's presence at the match.

And the fastest man on earth revealed he has been in a relationship with Kasi Bennett for two years. His girlfriend also lives life in the fast lane, albeit online.

On Saturday, Bolt was photographed alongside Cameron Spencer, the man who photographed him and captured Bolt's grin during the heats for the 100m.

Bolt fans in Jamaica also partied like they had won three medals at the Rio Games with national pride spilling from noisy street celebrations.

RECORD THREATENED

Bolt insists his legacy is secure, even if he loses one of his nine Olympic gold medals due to a teammate's reported doping.

It was the perfect way for the sport's biggest star to leave its biggest stage. "Mission accomplished," he proclaimed.

Nine Olympic gold medals is a joint record for athletics with Carl Lewis and Paavo Nurmi.

But Bolt could be in danger of being stripped of his relay gold from Beijing in 2008, the scene of his first three crowns.

One of his relay team-mates from those Games, Nesta Carter, has been named in reports as one of the athletes to have retrospectively failed drugs tests taken in Beijing, returning a positive result for the banned stimulant methylhexanamine.

There has been no official confirmation of the news, but, if he is stripped of his gold, then it would almost certainly mean all of his relay team-mates, including Bolt, also forfeiting their medals from the event.

But Bolt insisted that, even if he should lose his medal, through no wrongdoing of his own, his legacy would remain intact.

"I don't think it would tarnish my legacy," he said.

"I've proved to the world over and over again I've done it clean, so no stress.

"It will be disappointing, but it's life. What are you going to do? I have no control over that."

Bolt, dubbed the saviour of the sport in his sprint showdowns with two-time drug cheat Justin Gatlin, the pantomime villain of athletics, also claimed it would survive without him.

He retires for good after next year's World Championships in London.
