Nick Kyrgios as suffered the worst defeat of his career after being knocked out in the first round of the Rogers Cup by 17-year-old Denis Shapovalov.
The world no. 370 defeated Kyrgios in just over two hours 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, with the Aussie's concentration and attitude again under fire.
Nick Kyrgios quotes from 1st set: "This is a joke." "I can't play." "I don't want to be here." In no particular order.

Kyrgios lost the first set in a tie-break, making eight double faults and 19 unforced errors before getting back into the match and taking the second set 6-3, but Shapovalov's big serve and gritty groundstrokes held firm to take the third and send Kyrgios packing.
Shapovalov is fresh off winning the boys’ singles title at Wimbledon and entered the Toronto event as a wild card and youngest player in the tournament.
Kyrgios had earlier this week cited his newfound love for the mobile game Pokemon Go distracting him from his tennis and now with a first round exit under his belt, it's given his detractors more ammunition as to why he should take the game more seriously.
