Richmond star's 100th game ends with horror injury

Reece Conca’s 100th AFL game has ended in agony after a horror ankle injury in the opening quarter.

Conca was twisted around in a tackle from Lance Franklin and Tom McCartin when the injury occurred, with the vision indicating he may have fractured his lower leg.

Conca was immediately provided with anaesthetic to numb the pain while teammates gathered round to show their support.

Teammate Daniel Rioli took the support a step further, planting a kiss on the head of his injured mate.

The Tigers veteran still had the courage to wave to the crowd as he left the field on a medical vehicle.

Richmond eventually managed to win in honour of their fallen comrade, defeating the Swans 93-67.
