Benfica have announced exactly what Manchester United are set to pay for centre-back Victor Lindelof.
The Portuguese side announced on Saturday evening that the Sweden international will depart for Old Trafford, having already sold goalkeeper Ederson to Manchester City this summer.
Jose Mourinho’s men will pay €35 million up front for the 12-time capped defender, plus there will be an additional payment of up to €10m, including bonuses.
Lindelof has spent his entire professional career with Benfica, with the 22-year-old arriving at the club in 2012-13 to play in the youth system. From there, he graduated to the B team and ultimately into the senior squad.
In 2015-16, he turned out 23 times for the Lisbon outfit, but over the course of the last season, he has become a regular, featuring on 47 occasions, including eight in the Champions League.
United will hope that he can continue to progress at Old Trafford, having invested significantly in him.
