Reba McEntire Sings National Anthem Ahead of Super Bowl 58 — Watch and Grade It!

As far as we’re concerned, the red stripes on the American flag represent Reba McEntire’s gallantly streaming hair, making her the perfect choice to honor our country at Super Bowl 58.

The country queen took the field at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Sunday ahead of the San Francisco 49ers’ showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs, delivering an especially fancy rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The former Voice coach recently made headlines when NBC announced that she was re-teaming with Kevin Abbott, an executive producer on her self-titled WB sitcom, on a multi-cam pilot about a woman who “inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.” (Not only are we hoping that this show gets ordered to series, but we’d pay good money to get Melissa Peterman — aka Reba‘s Barbara Jean — in the role of McEntire’s surprise sibling.)

McEntire is one of several big names providing non-athletic entertainment at this year’s Super Bowl. Post Malone is also putting his spin on “America the Beautiful,” Andra Day is singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” and Usher (with at least one surprise guest) is this year’s halftime show headliner.

Music producer Kaskade is also spinning tunes all night long as the Super Bowl’s first-ever in-game DJ. The gig originally belonged to Tiësto, who had to back out just three days before the big game due to a “personal family emergency.”
