Real Madrid Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Sevilla

Real Madrid are at home to Sevilla in the 15th round of La Liga as fourth meets fifth at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Zinedine Zidane's side are ahead of the Andalusians on goal difference alone after 14 matches (the two are eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona), with both teams back in domestic action after their respective Champions League games on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 at the Bernabeu, while Sevilla drew 1-1 with Maribor away, and the two Spanish sides will be in the draw for the last 16 on Monday after each sealing second spot in their groups.

Here, Goal takes a look at everything you need to know ahead of their meeting in La Liga on Saturday...

REAL MADRID INJURIES

Raphael Varane is sidelined after suffering a muscular injury in the game against Dortmund on Wednesday night, while Jesus Vallejo is also set to miss out after failing to complete training on Friday.

Better news could see Gareth Bale back after he missed both of the last two matches, having made his return in the Copa del Rey last week but feeling pain in the 2-2 draw at home to Fuenlabrada.

REAL MADRID SUSPENSIONS

Sergio Ramos was shown the red card in last weekend's 0-0 draw against Athletic Club at San Mames and misses this match through suspension. Dani Carvajal and Casemiro are also banned after picking up their fifth yellow cards in La Liga this season during the game in Bilbao.

REAL MADRID POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Real Madrid have problems in defence for the game against Sevilla and Zidane will have to make changes with a number of key players missing through either injury or suspension.

Youngster Achraf Hakimi is set to start at right-back in the absence of Carvajal, with Nacho a definite in the centre as Ramos, Varane and Vallejo all miss out. Alongside the dependable Spain defender, however, Zidane will have to choose between Marcos Llorente (a midfielder) or untried youngster Manu Hernando.

Casemiro played as an emergency centre-back earlier this season, but he too is out and in his place, Mateo Kovacic is likely to feature.

There are no such problems further forward. Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo are all set to start, with Bale likely to be on the bench on his return to the squad.

SEVILLA TEAM NEWS

Sevilla have won their last three matches in La Liga and a victory at the Bernabeu would take the Andalusians above Real Madrid into fourth place in the table.

With coach Eduardo Berizzo recovering from an operation as he battles prostate cancer, his assistant Ernesto Marcucci will lead the team out again on Saturday.

He will be without injured pair Daniel Carrico and Nico Pareja, while midfielder Steven N'Zonzi is unlikely to feature after publicly revealing this week that he wants to leave the club in January.
