Rangers 1-0 Hearts: What the managers said

Rangers manager Jo Potter:

"I just said to the players when we don't play well it is important to keep clean sheets and take the three points.

"It is job done for us tonight. Hearts did try to nullify us but on our day that doesn't matter. We managed to nick a goal and keep a clean sheet and I think that is what good teams are all about.

"The players have really bought into a way of playing, there has been a mentality shift, we are not an underdog, we are happy being the team to beat.

"We have got to make sure we puff out our chests, take on the challenge and it looks good for us right now."

Hearts manager Eva Olid:

"I am so frustrated. I think we could have taken something from the game. The difference was the final third, they were more clinical. We had maybe two opportunities that we could have scored but we threw the ball away. The small details are the difference.

"We were working so hard and for me that is the minimum that I can ask from them. You finish with that feeling that we could have got something if we were a little more clinical.

"We have improved a lot in possession. Normally against the top three we have had less possession. I think that is a big progression.

"We have confidence on the ball but we just need that extra confidence in the final third."
