Chautauqua's unbelievable finish in Chairman's Sprint Prize

Official ratings had Chautauqua positioned at the top of the tree and the powerful grey justified the numbers with a brilliant display to win the Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m) at Sha Tin on Sunday.

The galloper settled back last at the tail of the field to start the race, leaving himself plenty to do at the end.

But he made it looked all too easy, and quickly mowed down his rivals, surging to the front in the final strides to defeat Lucky Bubbles.
