Hugh Bowman suspended until Cox Plate day

Hugh Bowman has had a costly suspension. Bowman will miss his ride on Terravista in the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley, and also international galloper Trip To Paris in Saturday week's Caulfield Cup.

Stewards suspended the top jockey for eight meetings which will mean he is set to return on Cox Plate Day.

The interference just before the home turn is where Bowman makes contact to Kirramosa's rider Blake Shinn with his elbow.

The Stewards were however satisfied the elbow was not deliberate, and was more incidental.

Hugh Bowman will commence his suspension after Caulfield Guineas day this Saturday.
