Beyoncé ensured this Good Friday really was a great Friday as she dropped her hotly anticipated new album, Cowboy Carter.

The 27 track album, which has been widely praised by both fans and critics alike, sees the Texas-born singer embrace her roots and go full country.

And the 42-year-old celebrated her album’s release the only way she could – by breaking the internet with a series of sexy Instagram snaps.

In her latest social media carousel, Beyoncé went full Westerncore by teaming a cowboy hat with red, white and blue assless chaps.

In another daring shot, the Texas Hold’em singer swapped to wide-leg denim chaps.

Another photo showed Bey in a low-cut nude dress, while she rocked a Dolly Parton-inspired high blonde beehive.

Naturally, many of Beyoncé’s 319 million followers flooded the singer with praise – both for her new look and new album.

Presenter Clara Amfo wrote: “'Bodyguard' 'Daughter' 'Desert Eagle' 'Tyrant' are THOSE girls!!!”

Meanwhile, model Ashley Graham posted a heart-eyes emoji, accompanied by a flame, and RuPaul’s Drag Race favourite Vinegar Strokes said: “THE ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE! Thank you B!”

Before dropping Cowboy Carter, Beyonce revealed it had taken her five years to release the album, opting to delay its release in favour of Renaissance.

“It's been really great to have the time and the grace to be able to take my time with it,” she said. “I was initially going to put Cowboy Carter out first, but with the pandemic, there was too much heaviness in the world. We wanted to dance. We deserved to dance. But I had to trust God's timing.

“I think people are going to be surprised because I don't think this music is what everyone expects, but it's the best music I've ever made.”

All praise Queen Bey!
