'Portadown made us work for it' - Healy after win

Linfield boss David Healy said that his side were "made to work" for their 2-1 win against Portadown at Windsor Park.

A quickfire double from substitute Chris McKee helped the Blues to the win, which stretched their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

And Healy was pleased they produced a markedly better second half display to claim the win after a frustrating first period.

"It was a tough game, you have to give Niall Currie] and his team credit, they made us work for it," he told BBC Sport NI.

"First half we weren’t quite at the standard and we got our joy second half and we got big goals early in the second half."

Healy was pleased with the reaction from his side following last week's disappointing loss against rivals Glentoran at the Oval.

"There’s a lot of noise made about any result or performance and when you lose a Glentoran game it’s important to respond in a positive manner and we’ve done that."
