Pelicans star Zion Williamson spent quarantine getting in unbelievable shape

New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has some bad news for anyone looking to make fun of his weight. The 19-year-old apparently spent quarantine getting into fantastic shape, and there’s even a picture to prove it.

The Pelicans tweeted out photo of their players getting ready for the NBA’s restart. While the team included four pictures in their post, Williamson’s is getting the most attention.

It’s not hard to figure out why that’s the case.

Williamson not only looks slimmer, but his arms look muscular and toned. He looks like a man who is motivated to singlehandedly will his team into the postseason.

Given that Williamson is wearing a mask in the photo, a number of people have compared his look to the Batman villain Bane.

Bane is a physically imposing villain who is known for (we’ll avoid spoilers) messing up Batman pretty bad.

Questions about Williamson’s weight — he’s listed at 285 pounds — have existed since Williamson excelled at Duke though his play has always been stellar. It’s unclear whether this new version of Williamson will lead to better production on the court, but we — along with every single Pelicans fan — are pretty excited to find out.
