Partick Thistle stars dominate SWPL TOTW

Jane Lewis, BBC Sport Scotland

It was a defining weekend in the SWPL as the top six was confirmed, while Glasgow City put a dent in Celtic's title hopes and Hamilton Accies picked up their first win of the season.

Who impressed? Let's take a look...

Megan Cunningham (Partick Thistle): Made a couple of important stops during the game against Montrose, including a vital one at 2-1.

Emma Lawton (Partick Thistle): A key player for Thistle all afternoon at the back.

Meikayla Moore (Glasgow City): As well as helping her team to keep Celtic at bay, her ball to Fiona Brown for the opening goal was sublime.

Megan Quinn (Hamilton Accies): A solid performance from the Accies captain, who marshalled her side well.

Clare Docherty (Partick Thistle): Scored not just an important goal to get Thistle back into things, but it was a beauty from the just inside the area.

Mairead Fulton (Glasgow City): Measured and controlled in midfield for City.

Rachel Rowe (Rangers): Scored two very different goals helping her side to an away win. Her experience tells every time she’s on the ball.

Lucy Sinclair (Partick Thistle): Played a large part in Thistle’s win. Her pass for the opener was inch perfect, while Thistle’s second goal came as a result of her initial effort.

Eilidh Adams (Hibs): Two goals and an assist, a decent day’s work. She’s really come on to a game this season and is playing with plenty of confidence.

Jorian Baucom (Hibs): Forcing a potent strike force with Adams, she also scored two and set one up.

Fiona Brown (Glasgow City): Was it a cross or a shot? Either way it was a vital goal scored by Brown on her City return. She also caused problems down the left all afternoon.
