Raider Papalii in hot water over late-night incident
Raiders star Josh Papalii is being investigated by police after an alleged late-night incident at a Canberra leagues club the night before the team's end-of-season presentation.
Charges are yet to be laid on the 32-year-old but inquiries are ongoing, ACT Police said in a statement.
"About 3.10am on Monday, 16 September 2024, police responded to a request from a licensed premises regarding two men who were behaving aggressively, smashing glasses, and refusing to leave," ACT Police said.
"After engagement with police, the men left, however a short time later, re-entered the premises.
"A third member of the group escorted the two men out of the premises again, and they departed the location a short time later."
Police are also investigating the other man Papalii was with, but they were unable to reveal his identity.

The Raiders stalwart earlier this season brought up 300 games for the ACT club, and the night after the alleged incident was named club person of the year in a ceremony at Parliament House's Great Hall.
The incident isn't Papalii's first run-in with the law.
The former Queensland State of Origin prop was handed a one-match NRL ban in 2017 after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge.
