PAOK 2-2 Aberdeen: What the manager said

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson: "A bit of disappointment for the players. I was so proud of them tonight. They gave us everything.

"This is a team who beat Eintracht Frankfurt here. This is a team who beat Olympiacos 4-2 at the weekend. This is a team who have been heavily invested in.

"We came and we went toe-to-toe with them. We performed like an Aberdeen team and I'm proud of them.

"We were 2-0 with 74 minutes at home [against PAOK] and we lost the game, but I thought the performance was excellent. I thought the performance against Eintracht Frankfurt was so good. I am so proud of that group.

"They are a new team. They haven't spent a lot of time on the training pitch together. They're also in a cup final, so we can only grow.

"That was the real disappointment for all of us. They're such a good side. We tried to go for it. We lacked that bit at the end, but you've got to remember this is real top quality we're up against.

"I still want us to get some points here. I love European [football], I loved it as a player and I loved it as a manager.

"It was a difficult game tonight, but we showed good structure and good fight to earn a point."
