Pakistan win toss in second Test v England

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first against England in the second and final Test at Headingley on Friday, and was given a further boost when Ben Stokes was ruled out for the home team because of a hamstring injury.

Stokes' injury meant 19-year-old left-arm swing bowler Sam Curran earned his first cap allrounder Chris Woakes replaced paceman Mark Wood, and Keaton Jennings came in for fellow opener Mark Stoneman.

Pakistan's only change from the first Test, which it won by nine wickets at Lord's, saw Usman Salahuddin replace injured batsman Babar Azam.
