Osho leaves Luton to join Auxerre

Luton Town defender Gabriel Osho has joined French club Auxerre following the expiry of his contract at Kenilworth Road.

Osho was part of the Hatters team that won promotion to the English top flight in 2022-23 and made 21 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice.

The move will see the 25-year-old play in France's top flight after Auxerre were promoted under boss Christophe Pelissier and he has agreed a one-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months.

"I'd like to thank Gabe for what he did for this football club and wish him nothing but success," Luton manager Rob Edwards told the Hatters' website.

"Thank you for everything over the past three years. Hope to see you all soon," Osho posted on social media platform X.

He is the second player to leave Luton this month, following midfielder Ross Barkley's switch to Aston Villa.
