O'Riley's injury 'does not look good'
Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler, speaking to BBC Radio Sussex after the Carabao Cup second-round win over League One Crawley Town: "I was not happy with the performance. I don't think we were ruthless enough in individual duels or aggressive enough. We played more as individuals than as a team and I wasn't happy with us in or out of possession.
"But you have to win these games and they are really tough against lower-ranked clubs because they give 100%. I am happy to win because it is also part of the process."
On Jay Williams' crunching tackle on debutant Matt O'Riley: "You cannot tackle like this because it is one where you take the risk of injuring another player. He was not given a red card, so the emotion in the game just got higher. It got really intense but it was the referee's decision [not to send him off] and we have to accept it.
"The injury does not look good. As he came off the pitch he couldn't put any weight on his ankle, so we have to scan it and then see what happens."
