I’m tall on my own, so I never really wear heels. But there are times when I don’t feel like flats are the best option, whether the occasion is too formal or my outfit just doesn’t work with anything except for heels. So when I know that I need to pull out a pair of heels, there is only one pair I reach for, and it’s the Liya Slide Sandals from 42 Gold.
42 Gold is one of Chinese Laundry’s brands and is described as “passionately designed, elevated yet attainable luxury. It represents the golden hour when a woman starts to know who she is, and who she is not. 42 Gold is elevated, playful, modern.” The brand offers every shoe style from mules and flat sandals to booties, with styles starting at just $80.
The Liya Slide Sandals come in over 10 colors, including classics like black and beige as well as more vibrant hues like lilac and gold. The two-strap sandals feature a 2.5-inch block heel (which is ideal for me since I already stand at 5-foot-11), and they sport a sleek look thanks to the buttery soft kid suede. They are also, without a doubt, the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn.

I have worn these sandals while walking across town to dinner, while running late to work (literally) and while dancing with my friends all night long, and not once have they given me a blister or left me with sore feet. I don’t know what kind of magic is in these shoes, but I have been telling all of my heel-wearing friends about them ever since I got a pair.
But what might surprise you is that I have the black and clear vinyl version, and even the vinyl portion is comfortable. It doesn’t rub my skin raw, it doesn’t ever feel slippery and it has never left with me sweat marks like those clear heels that did Kim Kardashian wrong (Google it for a laugh). They also didn’t need time to be broken in — they are comfortable from day one.

While $120 is definitely a lot of money to spend on one pair of shoes, I can’t tell you how worth it I have found these heels to be. They go with everything, they stay put on my feet and they are wildly comfortable. Honestly, these shoes are a dream come true. Treat yourself to the Liya Slide Sandals and thank me later!
