NRL Teams: Proctor returns, Myles snubbed

Kevin Proctor makes his return to a heavily depleted Gold Coast side, while Nate Myles won't appear in his first game for Melbourne this weekend.

Proctor is back for the Titans after serving a four-match ban for being caught using what was believed to be cocaine on May 5 following the Test match between Australia and New Zealand.

Gold Coast coach Neil Henry says Proctor's return comes at a good time with five regular starters missing from his squad.

"Having Kevin Proctor come back into the team will give us a bit of leadership out there," Henry said.

"He's really keen. He knows he's let the boys down by not being able to participate on the field in the last four games - we've only won one of those four."

Jarryd Hayne and Nathan Peats are both unavailable due to their New South Wales Origin selection and Jarrod Wallace will be missing due to suspension or Origin duties for Queensland.

Karl Lawton (shoulder) and Kane Elgey (sternum) were both injured in the Titans loss to the Warriors last weekend and couldn't make the short turn around for Friday night's game.

Tyrone Roberts (shoulder) will miss another week and Chris McQueen has been shifted from second row to five eighth for the match against his old club, a position he's not too familiar with.

Meanwhile, Nate Myles won't be thrust into Melbourne's side as a State of Origin reinforcement for the Storm's NRL clash with North Queensland.

The dumped Queensland prop was released by Manly on Tuesday, but not named in Melbourne's side for Saturday night's match at AAMI Park.

The Storm will be without Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Will Chambers and Tim Glasby, while the Cowboys have also been hit hard by Origin selection with Johnathan Thurston, Michael Morgan, Coen Hess and Gavin Cooper all on Maroons duty.
