Greg Inglis' five-year-old son targeted by disgusting racist comments

Greg Inglis and estranged wife Sally have contacted police after a photo of their young son Nate was targeted by racist comments.

A social media user posted disgusting, vile comments on a photo of five-year-old Nate standing around a birthday cake with other kids.

“Just what the world needs is more half cast Rabittohs (sic) with genetic mental illnesses,” one comment read.

The same user signed off with “White Australia policy supporter”.

Sally tagged the troll and re-posted the comments.

“I considered not posting this but my babies deserve better,” she wrote on Instagram.

“They are proud of who they are and have every right to be.”

She has reported the post to NSW Police and the NRL Integrity Unit.

“The comments got quite weird, so I talked to police,” she told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“They are checking on me and the kids. They suggested that I put my page on private, but that is giving in. I don’t want to do that, nor does Greg.

“Greg and I made the decision many years ago that ignoring racism is accepting it.”

The disturbing development comes just weeks after Inglis checked into a rehab clinic, struggling with life after footy.

The 32-year-old ex-Origin and Test superstar played only two games this season before being forced into retirement by persistent injuries.

He had travelled from Sydney to Brisbane for the historic Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium last month but the former barnstorming centre reportedly went missing for three days while drinking.
